new year eve part 2

Well what was the second part then? You would be wondering.. lol. I happily ate reunion dinner with my parents and my good old bro. we went to York Hotel for the dinner.... The food was kinda ok loz.. except that that the prawn tasted like it was cooked for an hour... haha


Then something slightly disturbing happened loz.. suddenly, my father announced that his credit card was lost. Well... he must left it somewhere or something like that loz.. We were at the bus stop waiting for bus. It was lucky that we were not in the bus already, heading home. Kor and my father went back to the hotel to search for it. In the end, the card was found hidden in the bill wallet( the one when u receive your bill and things like that...) ! It was so lucky loz.. if not it would definitely spoil our moods as the credit card is lost =( Hahaaa.. the card was found! Yay!!!

..new yr eve... (part1)

ah ha.. back from Jurong point (JP). Just now, i went back to HYSS to visit the sch and detect the changes. Sadly, the organised timing was far too late. we met at 11.15, when the school was closing and the CNY celebrations was far over (it ended at 9am) Well... so we just sort of toured the empty school.. reminising the old times and the changes.


Now HYSS express classes go by E for express, N for normal and T for technical. So 401 = 4E1.... 407 = 4N1 sth like that.. then 409= 4T1... Hmmmmm...

At the basketball court, we met zong jie, chuan yong and a lot other basketball people.. long time nv see them wor... lol....

Then we went to JP. We met up with Kelvin, Joseph, Brendon, Stanley, Yoges, and Ping Hui. We had small chats and they went to play arcade while sean, Daus, Chuan and I went too.

Later chuan, and i went to take a photograph... a trading card.. lol =) We had McDonald for lunch but Daus, sean and rain were not free... so they left first....

Chuan and i went ot Toys'R us to walk around and went to seoul garden to see the prices... later we went home. we talked a lot of poly and JC. A lot of about the course details too....

...worries...

I have read many blogs of worries of the results that are popping out soon. The results would come kinda soon, and many of us are great worriers. I mean it is like it was such a long wait mahx... then the bad results.. haix... all of us worry that we will not be able to go to our deam courses and things like that. The business courses would pose a challenge as it has higher requirements. Some courses require a EL a minimum of B4, which sounds kinda scary... for those smarty pants who managed to hop on the 3 month orientation at JC, i guess many enjoyed the life there. I guess poly would also have a relaxing life too...


So for me? Do i worry about the results too? My immediate answer is yes... Although i feel i did not too bad for the o's. The results that i will see at the end of this month is still a question (?) mark. So let me do a mental gage of how i fare for the 7 subjects i did for the o's. I will do a gauge that i DID the WORST for the o's

Ok.. some people who still have the burning question: POLY or JC?


I am some checklist for you to consider


1. Do you have any career in mind?


If yes, POLY. Poly will specifically train to to be proficient in the area u would be in the future.
If no, JC. It gives you more time to consider what career you would persue in the future


2. Do you want to enter university?


If yes, JC or poly. JC would give you a faster route to university


If no, poly. A poly cert would be able to give you quite a good job and pay. a A level cert holder cannot hold a candle to diploma grads at all...


so what do you think of my checklist? Do tag your comments and things like that... I hope u bloggers felt this is quite a meaningful entry....lol =)

...change of HP...

well..... my handphone is now changed -- not SE (Sony Erricson) anymore. Well, i miss this phone beacause of the familiarity with the controls and functions. However, my handphone is ageing and giving me lots of problems..=X


Firstly, the vibration function becomes spoilt. As a result, when i put my phone to silent mode, no vibration could be felt and this is frustrating loz... People call me i also don't know. People messaged me i also don't know... =(


Secondly, the microphone that receives my voice when i talk begins to soften and the person who received my call or i call out to cannot hear my voice clearly. The person would say: Can you speak louder? I have to put my mouth very near to the mouthpiece to allow the person to hear me.


Thirdly, my charging function often give me problems. Sometimes, after connecting the phone to the charger, it does not work and it does not start charging. It frustrates me a lot.


So what is my new phone? It is Nokia 6510.. lol.. This phone has my dream radio in a phone.. but no camera.. lol.. it is good in the way that it does not affect my job i am taking now... It is mono colour and the ringtones are mono-type too.


My next dream phone i am targeting is a colour phone with radio or mp3 player, polyphonic ringtones and equipped with a camera. It looks like this aim is still far. Even i get my next phone, having a integrated mp3 player or radio is very difficult... lol

new year blues?

With chinese new year so near.. today(sat) was spent shopping again... mum n i went to SP first to hear two talks on Teenagers, parenting and O level results. Met daus, shaiful and fadhil... lol...It was so enriching loz...


Haha.. then we went to giant and buy drinks, vegetables and the coca cola drink that i will never forget.. It was SOOOO heavy... It is the jumbo one with so many cans loz.. haix...Then when going home... i was too lazy that i decided to drag it. due to friction, the plastic was torn into pieces. Haix... so ke lian.. then i have carry like that home loz...


Ok.. let me recount these few days... on Fri, Chuan and i went to SP to explore the compounds. It is quite a nice place and we went to most of the places. We even went to the Business block Open house. It is kinda interesting as they showed us the facilities that are available at SP. We saw the rock wall and adventure facilities available there (like the one in Jalan Batera)


So what is SP then? It is Singapore Polytechnic. We went there kinda early as i had to work later. We met at about 10 plus and we began touring aound.


After all the course introductions, i think i need to consider very carefully before i will put the the choices on the courses i should take. Chuan will be most likely taking the School of Design courses as he has the interest in drawing.... Well for me, i am targeting the school of Business, and/ or IT. We were given the free goodie bag, consisting of chocolates and the can of lemon and kalamansi, which are created by SP. Besides that, chuan and i were given a magnet sticker and a tiny screwdriver set cum key chain. All these were given during the walk abouts at the convention centre. There was free flow of drinks loz.. chuan even managed to get a free can of soya bean milk. (i was too late).


We also went to the spinovex, the place where the students portray their work -- masterpieces. It reminds me of my school open house at the science labs where we promote our ideas or experiments we created. haha


By the time we finish the tour around, it was time for me to go to work while chuan went home. It was quite a nice tour to SP wor...

...higher work load...

today i went to Giant with mum to finish up some new year shoppings. mum was like taking her own sweet time loz. I was grumbling at her and finally she sped up. I DO NOT WANT TO BE LATE FOR WORK! lol... haha... Anyway, we went to Roti Mum to try the new bread. The coffee fragrance and the bread crispiness is hmmmmmm so nice.. =)

haha... today's work i am given a new task loz.. then i manage 2 machines loz.. then the newbie machine needs more attention and i had to look at it more carefully. haha.... rain worked more that required time and had OT. so, daus, me, rain and issac took bus home. The radio entertained me on the wayx loz

...Updates about the job…

Hmmm… I guess people will be thinking how my job has been and things like that. Well, I am working at the Hardware section and the job is ok. Didn’t I say that I am working at the software section? In the end, I am working at the hardware one. This job is quite boring at times, if there is no communication or talking. However, we get to talk and it is quite fun. I get to sit most of the time during my work and it is great.


I get to know some people from my new job. Some people are Yue Hua, my colleague that I am working closely with. Today is my forth day and I am very familiar with my job liao. The engineer came today and made some changes to the printers. The work here is good but I loathe settling my dinner. The food is quite expensive there and the food court in the building closes at 5pm. When it reaches my dinner break, it would have passed 5pm and there is no food available. Daus showed me a food centre I can go to which is nearby. This centre at least closes later loz.. so I think I will settle dinner there loz… lol…


Yesterday I went out with Chuan. It has been a long time we last met and actually, chuan planned to watch a movie. I woke up late and by the time I reached Jurong point, it was 10.10, 5 minutes to the start of the movie. Chuan said it was okay and instead, we went to KFC and eat. After that, we went to walk around the shopping centre, looking at different shops. Chuan mentioned about buying a birthday present for me but I thought: will I get any presents? I mean, I have not gotten any presents from any of my friends [not in terms of money or treat]. My presents for birthday are usually my birthday cake, dinner and the words of birthday. No solid presents. So will 2005 be the special year? Will I get a present? Ha-ha. Let me see…


We went to most places in JP and I enjoyed the moments as we shared our lives’ memories. The longest places we walked was Valu$, Popular, and NTUC. I bought some bottles orange juice from NTUC loz.


Chuan also got update his diary book that he created in 2002, the old times when we were in secondary 2. He brought the book with him and shared the poems with me. Well, the meeting is somewhat great and I enjoyed every moment of it. We agreed to go to Singapore Polytechnic’s Careers and Seminars fair this Friday.


Anyway, I went home and later went to Boon Lay Raja to get my pay.... Well, I got my third paycheck… akakakaka… Daus want me to treat him and Sean Seoul Garden loz =X.

.... this guy was in the same class as me from primary 5 to 6. He is a very active and jovial guy. Now is attached and become very mature le.
