Jurong Camp Medical Centre is where i was posted to and now is my OJT period before I become a full fledged medic. Lots of things to learn though. Triage until i got a bit sick of it.

Now learning dispensary. LOLS

Birthday

I guess this is one of the back dated entries i want to write because I simply want to thank those who remembered my birthday and wished me.

Although I celebrated my birthday in camp on a lazy Monday, I thoroughly enjoyed my birthday by just a simple delivery service ordered from 933 Golden Pillow and Canadian 241 Pizza. The people do make a difference. I think my bunkmates were one of the most fun lot to be with and you will not get boredwith them.

Although they were doing BO, I went down to watch TV and eat with them.

Basic Medic Course (BMC)

Well, I have gone thru about half of the course. This course is relatively interesting... with lots of theory and practical at the same time. Lots of mini test. lots of IV (10 needles to clear). Lots of 1 day courses - ie. CPR, AED.

Combat phase just started and it was freakingly tiring. Seriously, carrying someone is very tiring. We learnt stretcher drills. Stretcher drills were more digestible. Transporting casualty without stretcher is quite unbearable. Strength is needed to get it done. Cooperation is also greatly needed to get things done smoothly. Fireman lift. Piggy-back.... aww.... so tiring! the 2-3-4 hand lifts where very straining to the hand. hahahas.

However, it was also fun. We were laughing like crazy when doing the drills. and these stuff made us bond together.

Next week. 2 more iv sessions. BCS. and some theory lectures... please... everything goes smoothly.

Happy New Year 2009!

This is my first 2009 post :)

Well, I hope this year I can lose more weight.... and achieve being a combat medic. The course is not going to be easy for me... with my extreme blur personality.... and constantly doing things wrongly =X.

Watched Bedtime Stories and Yes Man recently at GV Plaza Sing. Nice!! Bedtime story is hilaries yet touching at the same time... and finally the un-noticed gets the chance to show his worth. I feel i am just like the un-noticed... who always sit around and look people perform. But i think thats my character ba.

Yes man was funny. The guy who said NO and finally said yes to everything gained new opportunities after going to a YES seminar. He found a new girlfriend. Before that, he was dumped and rotted at home watching TV, videos, movies. Things went wrong when he said yes to everything... including letting an old auntie help him jack off... found a new bride online... and his best friend told him that he must regulate the things he said yes.

It felt quite weird because I went to the same cinema to watch 2 different movies. But the adverts were about the same though. LOL Including alamak's advert about the upcoming movie and how he burned his face using the iron because he thought it was the phone he took. And the Fann Wong and Li Ming Shun wedding movie.

Hmms that all ba. Met up with weitai. Still the same la. Chuan, ben, chee wee all ok. Kbox was great lors..

UPdates

Lots of things happened after my blog entry. BMT came to a close and I had a nice 1.5 week break. Got posted to be a combat medic... Zzzzz.

BMT was a horrible phase for me. Met lots of horrible people and people i don't wish to see everyday. However, I still have to put up with these horrible people with criticisms about me. I dont welcome these terrible comments and I wanted to be left alone. I fell off the "cliff" in the SITest, creating some history.

finally it ENDED. Now its time to learn to be a combat medic! Although i know it is not going to be easy, but i will try my best.

BMT finishing!!!

Yupps... My BMT phase in NS is finally ending! 5 mths passed with a blink of an eye:) 1 more month to go and ah ha... waiting for posting and looking forward to a new life in a new place.

Had block leave recently. Enjoyed myself at home and going out with parents...Bought a new TV 42 inch- $1399. Somemore got give free DVD Mini Combo :) So sadly, there was no free installation of the TV due to its competitive price. I fixed everything myself and lifted the 30++ kg TV to put it onto the stand. Lucky I was careful so the TV was not damaged :)

Wed went ktv at bugis. Not bad ah... that place. But the song choosing system was quite complicated... a bit hard to understand la.

Thurs had BBQ with the platoon folks. Then had this mini expedition to the scary places including lim chu kang cemetry. nothing much la. walk here walk there in the dark lor. Then later we went geylang. It was quite stupid la. but the ladies standing around really a lot sia. Like all waiting for customers. zzzZzz We did not alight. hahas.

Then we went to Jalan Kayu for breakfast. Quite expensive la. the prata also not very nice but price v ex. Then Taufiq sent us home one by one and it was a long wait before it reached my house =X. Hahaa.

Reached home and bathed and sleeped. Woken by my mum asking about the medical appointment. Rushed down to NSC and see the doctor. The doc was somehow impatient sia.... sending me the message like ok... you are done... can go off now...

Then went to SAFRA Mt Faber. Collected the free watch. Not bad :) Then to meet weitai and yongqing. YQ likee fairer le lor... must be used a lot of SKII... also slimer... I think went on diet bahs. hahas

Weitai restored to normal le! Unlike the other time i saw him. His hair all grew longer le.

oh my tian. must go back camp le :( BMT quickly end la.... LOL

Almost 3 mths in army! Oh my tian, that is considerably long! next 3 mths will be horror stories, and more siong training. Less physical training and more military training. I am so damn worried.

Many things happened. Joys and Sadness. It is just uncountable. Sadness tend to linger my mind for weeks. Joys seems to fly too fast.

Sometimes, I wish the commanders to let us off on certain issues.
