upset.
then also i was upset that someone threw temper at me. although i know its nt really my fault (i partly created it) but i just feel uncomfortable thinking about it. the worst is the person confessed to me that going to meeting is nt the choice compared to doing other things.
we kept quarrelling during the meeting like got differing opinions. and so on. i wanted to work today but the meeting was too impt that i decided to skip it.
Should I have skipped meeting and went to work today? Haix.
nt true

K Box + Mooncake Festival Celebrations
Yong Soon sang a lot of Liu De Hua songs & those OLD OLD 90s' songs.
I sang many Mayday songs.
Derek sang many Canto songs. and liu geng hong songs.
Huiwen sang many li sheng jie songs (although most of the songs were stolen by fk. LOL)
Fk sang a rojak of songs. hahahs.
Later went to teach my kid. He was quite ok today until the end bahx. Was trying to skip the last part of the things I wanted him to do. End up Evangeline came in and gained his attention and finally he learnt wad is this action verb about... LOL
His ah gong came very late la. End up we sat there and wait for him. and we ate our chocolates that Irene bought. THANKS IRENE!! then its so nice. First time edwin offered to share his chocolate with me. hahahas. Took a pic of him and the fireworks the other kids and families were playing... hahas.
Then went to lakeside to find for huiwen and the bp mentors. at first i only saw lifei and cheshong and i was like quite sianz... cause nv talk much to them de... so i stood there emoing at the number of sticks thrown into the reservoir. So sad. so very un environmentally friendly.
Later huiwen and foongling appear then i made my appearance present. hahahs. Leo was like shocked when he saw me.. lol
We played lanterns, and shang yue. and saw fireworks, ate mooncakes, and pomelo. Managed to talk to cheshong and leo. and of coz derek . Had a great time! =D
wad a long day.... hehe...
Updates since Katong Trip
24 Sep 07, Monday - AWWA Mooncake Festival @ AMK Ave 6, Blk 120.
Well, today i was feeling lazy... so I told my mum I not going to Chinatown to go buy mooncakes le. My mum was like interested to buy Teochew La pia - a different version compared to the cantonese version.
My mum was like quite diaoz cause she seemed rather interested to buy the moonies. hahahs. but in the end i keep saying no, then she also sianz to go out herself then she say nvm lor. hahahahas.
So Wilson and I met happily at 5pm @ Rotary FSC and found out it was damn quiet. And found out all left without us le! OMG! hahahas... Then we took 74 to destination.
Haiyo. The bus stop and the exact location is far from what Glenn described. hahaahahs. so we finally found the place and sprang into action. Realised the elderly were busying getting the lantern done up. like a mini competition. but it was quite unsuccessful though. they looked so bored meddling with the lanterns.
After the lanterns it was water distribution. just we thought we would want to serve Chinese Tea, mineral water suddenly came in and it got quite messy. We used some styrofoam contained to hold all the drinks before serving them. Spilled a few cups as i missed some steps. But the rest was ok...
Food was to be served. The proccess was relatively fast. Suddenly, all the food distribute already. but there were vegetarians problems as the food catered isnt vegetarian certified. There was an uncle who kept shouting he did not eat the bee hoon as it contained garlic. I was thinking - shouldn't it be considered vegetarian - garlic? zzzzzz. He ate the soon kueh in the end when actually inside contains dried shrimps. zzzzzz
Desserts - fruits like grapes were served. Then steamed yam. The steam yam looked quite good but i did nt manage to get a test try of how is the taste. the yam - some were a bit hard la. but actually it is quite ok! there was one old naggy uncle who complained about the yam. But i thought it was quite ok? he returned me a piece of yam which he thought it was quite hard and when i held on to it, a light press showed me the yam was rather soft afterall. Speechless... hahaha. Oranges were served as well.
The performance using the gu zhen and the electronic piano is really good. but the emceeing was quite poor as there wasnt proper introduction when the people were playing and keeping the people entertained. so it was like ??? to me when these people start strumming on the gu zhen, the clarinet and so on.
The skit was quite good as it managed to captivate the audience's attention. i think the skit was nice esp the costumes, the fake hats, the fake moon etc. quite interesting and the people know what is going on in the scenes.
then it was the pomelo peeling made me shudder. I was carrying a knife going around cutting the top of the pomelo and making some slits so its easier to peel. the knife was damn sharp la! I was like walking around in a knife like wanna kill someone or something... hahahas.
The rest was not bad la. got strumming of guitar by evangeline, singing by derek - his trademark songs and some new songs too.
Later it was a trip back to Clementi via chartered bus. Then some makan with lianhui, jansen, wilson, mengkui, ziwen, and shirley.
My feedback (sent to glenn)
1. The volunteer management looks very messy on that day. I see a lot of "free" volunteers having their chats instead of helping. Or was it oversupply of volunteers? As you mentioned in the email, there was no pre programme meeting. Hence there were no clear roles defined for the volunteers. Perhaps the tables could have been numbered? So that you can assign volunteer A or B to manage these tables. Please, please track the volunteers coming. So that you can plan like person A do wad. even without a meeting. Its easier to assign this way.
2. The ambience wasnt there. When I reached there, I realised you all were having the lantern competition thingy. The mic/sound system wan't fantastic. I think the Rotary FSC sound system is even better! Hahahas. I believe on your part, theere should be some problems getting it done. Perhaps there should be some chinese orchestra music being played in background. The atmosphere is much nicer! ahahahahas. Can try loaning the speakers and mixer from SDAR AV Equipment.
3. Foodie squalms. Ermm. Vegetarian. pls prepare for em! Some end up ate food that APPEARS to be vegetarian when its nt. ie. soon kueh.
4. Water messy? Hmmm... perhaps a sequence to whether chinese tea or mineral water served first? hahahas... people were like all confused.
5. Knife horror - Don't ever let us carry knife around the place cutting pomelos. Its so scary! hahahas. Serious. Just let us cut the pomelo the parts needed to be sliced (top) and slids at the slides. That's all. BEFORE giving the tsbles. The old aunties were damn SCARED when i was cutting the pomelo for her table.
6. Food for volunteers. - For community service, when it comes to foodie giving to volunteers, there must be a system set. It is either BEFORE the event start ie. 4plus or AFTER event ends 9plus. It is quite unsightly to see volunteers eating in duration of helping. And the volunteers would be so called FULL time helping the event.
Alternatively, you may devise a system such that like volunteers in A grp go eat first. Then B group. Then like this, in any time, there should be someone tending the tables or attending to the elderly.

23 Sep 2007 Sunday - Out with mum to GIANT
A lazy afternoon as usual, then went out with mum to buy pomelos in Giant. The pomelo was damn cheap la... $1.99 only. hahahas. so its like we went to choose the pomelos, put them in a safe place, then went to have dinner and the "Spagehett Too". The food there verynice! Haha. Enjoyed the desserts, esp the apple crumble with the yummy ice cream on top. The mixture of warm and cold is really very exciting! hahahs. Then went back to collect our pomelo and continued shopping. bought other things like prawn. hahas.

22 Sep 2007 Saturday - Out with mum to Aljunied
Met Chuan at 4pm to pass me his hard disk drive. Hope my recovery of data will start soon! Played pool and out of 3 games, 2 chuan won me and 1 chuan won ben =.=. Chuan is getting more skillful in his pool! BEWARE! hahahahas.
Went out with mum to aljunied (Geylong Lorong 25A). to change the diesel oil reeked Teochew La Piah. the man decided to refund us :) But he is damn egoistic la! Kept shouting cannt be that the La Piah has the diesel oil taste.
Went to mymum's old house at Lorong 25a. It has become a mini restuarant selling HK style food. We tried some items and then went to eat our main course - Steamboat @ $13 with no hidden cost. The food was not bad but the soup is damn tasteless, need a lot of soy sauce to rescue it. But the prawns there were damn fresh and tasty! :)

21 Sep 2007 Friday - Out with mum
Went out with mummy to eat at some new resturant good in their shark's fin and expensive stuff. Turned out that the thing a bit expensive lor. Like 1 dish is juz a small portion for each person. lol.. but the sharkfin is really. good. loved the gravy.
then we went to geylong lorong 27 to buy the teochew lapiah. it was quite nice though, but the guy kept focusing on his customer who was buying like boxes, Like so biased! zzzzzz
Then went to mediacorp to work.

20 Sep 2007 Thursday - Reccee for Chalet
Went to Aloha Changi and Changi Village to recee the Chalet we thought of staying there. In the end, we went to Changi Village to eat, and in the process of getting the chalet things done, we got quite lost. Used my WAP to surf for the website with the map. But the map pic was far too small. hahhas. Cannt read it at all.
In the end, we cancelled the idea of staying there due to its uluness and also that place was quite eerie / creepy as it was damn quiet. There is this orange valley nursing home but it seems vacant as someone paste some masking tape over the name on the main entrance. But it looks a bit eerie somehow and kwanchet said he heard some ghost stories there and after some discussion, we decided nt to use the place as its very inconvenient for everyone also.
There was this Malay auntie who smiled at us when we were at the Chalet. I thought she was the occupant there but KC kept saying she was the cleaner. Well, I am really not too sure either. LOL.

recee food hunt on Mon
at first went to suntec, to go find fk. He was like disappeared la! Then after some search, found him standing there, looking very happy. Then fk was like telling us about the HOTDOG competition that he won. And how he ate those hotdog sandwich with lots of mustard and how spicy it was. LOL...
we took 196 from suntec to katong lor. hahas... fk was all excited for the arsenal fan thing and there was this person riding on the trishaw - COOL version. Cause it looked damn high! hahahahahas.
so after that we finally reached katong! hahahas. quite a nice place i think? really a food hub! wahahaas. so we went to see all the available katong laksas. Then also thought of what to eat during the food chase on monday.
it was very brief la. then fk say go eat the 933 chicken, the loy kee chicken rice, then icecream from that shop...
then its like we chatted and walked to fk's bus stop. Took bus to eunos mrt.
when we alighted and say goodbye, i looked at kc.
I said: " hey, we like never explore enough! Lets go explore somemore!"
KC: ok!
hahaahahahas.... a sushi shop caught our eyes and we had some sushi before we go there more a more thorough look through.
so we end up taking 32 there. But it was disaster when we decided to alight later. Cause it was traffic jam! Then it was like my back was like yelling lor... told myself i would perservere. then the jam slowly cleared and we managed to alight.
so we made reservations for the 933 golden pillow thingy, and went to the taiwan shop to make reservations. the shopping centres at katong really like some dead city there. cause its so quiet there! and its like all the occupants are those tuition centres, financial services companies, its like some office building! lol...
then passed by this chocolate shop thingy. wanted to ask her about the price of the chocolate ice cream but she was so unfriendly that we got turned off.
later we just kept walking. saw one cake shop. the cake there looks so home made! hahahahas... i liked their cheese cake. looks so yummy! hahahahaas.
we finally reached the bus stop that has 14 and 196. Took 14 back. but stopped at cathay cineleisure and took 190 and then 187. KC's fav mtd home! hahahhaas.

passion synergy camp 07' love genesis
Well, I still feel rotten, cause of my back injury. Sitting and standing make me moan. Cause really ar, the fall i had was really bad. went to see chinese sinseh (physician) and it feels slightly better now.
Seriously, the camp this year was much more fun *upsized* and many enjoyed it! I am happy that i pushed for all the things to get done before the camp, while von did a good leading during the camp.
Von is a very good leader. However, she really needs a good helper to help her out during her down times. :) i pray that someone would be able to accompany her and lead through all thick and thin when she takes over any club - Rotaract or Passion.
day 0
i end up doing nothing much, excpting leading the team in night walk. it was so impromptu that i did not know where to walk~! hahahas... :) but the facis real good, helped in planning of mass ice breaking. and even lead the mass ice breaking. like fengkai and derek.
day 1
it was a boring day with all the admin stuff to settle till the night. everyone was drained by 2 workshops. one by me another by mr chan keen len, wt's fav lecturer. LOL///
my workshop was a bit sianz la... but i tried to keep everyone awake. hehes
then later it was night station games. omg... was WET like mad. ALL because of ESTEEM@ omg... they ah... go throw water bombs at me... =X. And this waterbombs got flour + vinegar!! Make the floor damn smelly! LOL
Btw, sorry if the lights suddenly went off... I think its my fault la... nv book long enough. Then so dark. So hard to clean!
but overall, the station games helped to break the ice. everyone felt more bonded... i think :)
day 2 -
amazing race. Although i wasnt there to play in the race, i think everyone enjoyed themselves. although i gave a wrong ans to poor cheun kiat and company. club rainbow vs rainbow centre! OMG. group 4 (snowman) came first! hahahs/// their cabbing and all.. hahahs./. and but they were all panting and wet when they reached.
weitai came into the story and he offered to do up the video editing for the camp.
cultural night was fun. :) but this year the performances quite fun! esp those with the special music.... but i was quite lost as some i could not see what are they trying to express. Or is it just their grp symbolisation.
day 3
grp presentation and auction time! haha.... i think this idea was funny cause it was by me.... i remember myself screaming for this idea as the BA Camp i had also had this idea. I think its v funny... esp the ones with booby prizes... the ones with fake oreo, but inside nothing! hahahahahahaahas....
as this year's theme is all same, judging was very competitive and it was hard to find a project to award. grp 5 - esteeem won the project.! alll the best in the execution! :)

You Scored an A |
You got 10/10 questions correct. It's pretty obvious that you don't make basic grammatical errors. If anything, you're annoyed when people make simple mistakes on their blogs. As far as people with bad grammar go, you know they're only human. And it's humanity and its current condition that truly disturb you sometimes. |

Your view on yourself:
The type of girlfriend/boyfriend you are looking for:
You like serious, smart and determined people. You don't judge a book by its cover, so good-looking people aren't necessarily your style. This makes you an attractive person in many people's eyes.
Your readiness to commit to a relationship:
You are ready to commit as soon as you meet the right person. And you believe you will pretty much know as soon as you might that person.
The seriousness of your love:
You are very serious about relationships and aren't interested in wasting time with people you don't really like. If you meet the right person, you will fall deeply and beautifully in love.
Your views on education
Education is very important in life. You want to study hard and learn as much as you can.
The right job for you:
You're a practical person and will choose a secure job with a steady income. Knowing what you like to do is important. Find a regular job doing just that and you'll be set for life.
How do you view success:
You are afraid of failure and scared to have a go at the career you would like to have in case you don't succeed. Don't give up when you haven't yet even started! Be courageous.
What are you most afraid of:
You are afraid of having no one to rely on in times of trouble. You don't ever want to be unable to take care of yourself. Independence is important to you.
Who is your true self:
You are mature, reasonable, honest and give good advice. People ask for your comments on all sorts of different issues. Sometimes you might find yourself in a dilemma when trapped with a problem, which your heart rather than your head needs to solve.

everyone is leaving!
going to a kbox outing
camp 2007
no one knows. but i told myself everything will work out... was really tired to host those camp meetings and esp those meetings with poor attendance.
whether anyone who did not like the meetings / do not like my management style. etc., i am not going to care about you. what i'm doing is always of best interest of Passion.
if you really want it to be better. change my style in managing certain matters, please talk to me tactfully and nicely while raising your concerns. Instead of screaming and shouting or making sniggering remarks.
i dont like to interfere in the camp. i had to interfere because the commandent had some other matters to settle. what ever i have done is all in good faith for the camp. the change in org chart is meant to reduce the boredom while waiting for the groups to come. if you are not happy of what i have done, please call me.
i hope the coming meeting on wed - i will be able to listen more than talk more.
