I am really busy these days!!!!! Cannot afford to even blog, really very dried out these days like the batteries no batt liaoz...
I had 2 tests and I think i did rotten for both. All very badly done. Business Statistics and Oral communication. Both were very badly done.
Firstly, it was a rotten stats day. In the morning, I had lecture and it was a borrring day. I don't know why. When I was in Sem 1, at least i got friends/class folks to have tutorial/lecture with. Since its from 9am to 12noon, I was very dizzy and tired. Lecture was quite ok, but my mind seemed to be asleep.
After that, i had lunch alone at canteen 2 again. AGAIN. ALONE. I don't understand my timetable. Why make our class so free on Wednesdays? It makes me feel so bored as hardly anyone goes to lecture. I will only see Max and he got his own group of friends. So sad, i have not found my group of friends in poly loz.... so BORED.
After lunch, i went to rotaract club house to study. The room was ok but i decided to switch on the aircon which appeared spoiled and noisy. I let it run noisily and did my revision lo. But I could not study stats! Stats is like maths and I hate it!!! Haiyo, then i everytime see ong poh leng lo. He's nice, but i cannot do this subject. Its not my forte at all. Same goes with microecons. I will DIE in these modules :(
Met Yu chern and Elaine and they gave their dues. (:
The test was rotten and i just do as what i thought it was correct. I feel so sad! The revison exercises - i could not do loz. rotten eggs! :( I feel so helpless. I did as good as possible as I cannot grasp the exact way to the questions. Feel so =___=
The next day was worst. I had OCOM tutorial and test. Calista was like damn funny lars. She appeared into the classroom just at the right time -- when her name was called for table topics -- individual speech. She still managed to give quite a good 1 although it was soooo sudden. I would have freaked out if it happened to me. Some just blanked out as they delivered their speech.
OCOM test was bad. I think i did very badly lo. Anyhow do . MCQ - 1 wrong liaoz. Fill in the blanks also :( 1 wrong. The communication theory - 8 elements I NEVER memorise la!!!!~ I want to vomit blood already. 12/40 marks are at stake!!!! I gonna DIE
Well for today's CATS was ok ah :)

taitai (s)
I cannot imagine one of our class folks become a taitai loz. But I can visualise the responses if one of them becomes 1.
Calista: Cool. I can use his money to go thailand and go on a shopping spree! At the same time, i will get my hair revitalised! ( she came to ob tut like she was shagged last night! LOL!!!)
Edna: don't want la. afterall, my bf is quite rich, although he may be stingy at times. But then again, I might be a taitai too =) **diaoz =_=
Ann: Wah. I want to be one. *thinks longer* I don't to be 1. I don't even love him. Why should i marry him? Besides that, he is sooooo old (60-70s) i cannot have that thing with him la.
It looks like calista looks most suitable to be a taitai :)

long email.
What a long email i typed for rotaract club. LOL!
---------------------------------------------------------------------
OMG. This is such a loooooooooooooooooooooooooooong survey. takes me years to answer. you should treat me!
- What is your role in rotaract club?
My role in Rotaract is as the club service director. As the club service director, I am incharge of membership issues, dues, publicity of the club, and recruiting new members. I will a sort of a public relations person.
Another role as club service is to organise activities to bond the members. In short, I am the communicatior and I transmit new messages and announcements to all members. Members would be hoped to have a sense of belionging to the club and hopefully, we can train them to be committee members like us.
- Describe to me in detail a little about the work scope of a youth volunteer.
A youth volunteer is a job whereby it is usually very flexible in the timing and hours. The job scope encompasses things like providing help/service to any organisation. The key word is HELP. Different kind of organisations would have different kind of volunteers. The help can be of any scope. Some examples are raising funds(flag day), charitable events management, mass food/newspaper collection for the needy or to raise funds.
- Is there a decrease in the number of youth volunteers in Singapore?
It may be true, but I am not sure. I think you need to do research on it :). But of course, volunteering may be dropping. Especially when there are soooooooooooo many other things to do, rather than volunteering majorly. People prefer to treat volunteering as a "part time" job and not trying to free up their time to help out or would rather do something else. - How is the organization trying to attract youths to volunteer themselves?
Well, I don't think organisations are doing a lot to attract youths to volunteer. Rather, i feel that volunteering comes from the inner self. Organisations are just doing more publicity to make known their existance. Thus, people with these caring hearts start contacting these organisations to find our how can they participate.
- What do you think are some of the reasons that youths are not willing to be a volunteer?
As what i have said above, there a zillion more things that teenagers consider more cool than volunteering. Some things would be clubbing, hanging out with friends, and shopping. Some love sports and the would want to concentrate on their favourite sport. School work drains them and they feel they do not want to stress themselves out by volunteering.
- What can one learn from being a volunteer?
Volunteering has many benefits. When you are volunteering, it does require some courage as you have to interact with "strangers" when it comes to a service to a home/child care centre. You have to initiative and one learns a lot when you meet a lot of people with extreme personalities and attitudes. It broadens your view of people, as you will meet a lot and a lot of different people. You make a lot of new friends. You have a lot of fun with your new met friends. You must be the listener as you would tend to listen, give advice, reply, joke, bringing happiness to the less fortunate.
It also sometimes make you more aware of that you are very lucky as you can behave like any normal person. You can watch, talk, feel and hear. some cannot see and some cannot hear. Some are handicapped. Some have mental problems. There are lot and a lot of things learnt. It is so much that it is difficult to be put in words.
- What have you learnt as a volunteer?
Well, as a interact club president in secondary school and club service director in poly, I think i have learnt a lot in publicity of a club. volunteering does comes with a price. Finding a place to help/volunteer may be difficult at times. What is the price? Priceless.
- How would you persuade a youth to spend a few months being a volunteer during theirholidays instead of lazing around or finding a part-time job?
I am not going to persuade anyone to spend a few months to be a volunteer during the holidays. I would rather volunteer and work! Haha. Yes. Volunteering is good. But working does gain certain levels of experience. After all, volunteering comes from the heart. It is no use if a person becomes a volunteer just because he will be rewarded - ie with a ipod nano. I think that would just be volunteer for the sake of ........... (to be filled in).
Hence, when promoting my club, it never occured to me to reward these volunteers with something materialistic. I really cannot imagine me telling people to join rotaract just to win a digital camera! Volunteering can be managed very well. I am currently taking a night job. If i have any volunteer events going on, i would take off or try to accomodate the time. Volunteering is usually in the mornings or afternoons. I should be able to manage my time.
- What are some of the works that the rotaract club has done?
Rotaract club has done quite a lot of things in May & Oct semester. We had this sale of slippers to help the needy during the ice cream fair to raise funds for our club. We had this mooncake festival celebration with AWWA kids with their families. These families belong to the low income family and we tried to create joy by celebrating this festival them. The major race group are malays, so it was quite a eye opener for the Malays. We just had our red cross home christmas celebration. It was an activity to cheer these patients up by singing christmas carols for them.
- Is there an exterior organization that the club works with outside school?
Yes. We are being sponsored by Rotary club of Raffles City. Hence, we sometimes do seek advice from the members of that club. Rotary international is a very large organisation that was started to the main aim of helping of those in need. Rotaract was started as youth like us would be much more enthusiastic to help out physically. Rotarians in the rotary club would be helping us financially.
Any more questions? I would prefer a phone survey lehx. Wasted my time typing eh. Diaoz. hahahaha. Anything sms/call me k.

Nearly died after the typing. hahahahahahahaaha.
